Does Your Certification Expire in 2022?
Check your ABEM Portal to see if you have any requirements to complete before December 31. Once your requirements are complete, your certification will renew for five years AFTER your current certification expires on December 31.
Forego Hospital Merit Badge Requirements

Flexibility for Your Annual Fee
ABEM physicians in a 5-year certification cycle have an annual fee requirement and can pay on an annual basis, or in one lump sum. Learn more

Haley Academy Welcomes Inaugural Class
ABEM was proud to welcome ten rising second-year medical students into the 2022 inaugural class of the Dr. Leon L. Haley, Jr., Bridge to the Future of Emergency Medicine Academy.
ABEM's Board of Directors consists of experienced, clinically active, board-certified emergency physicians, and a public member.
Samuel M. Keim, M.D., M.S., became the 2022-2023 president of the Board. Dr. Keim has been a member of the Board since 2016, and among his activities with the Board has been an active involvement in the development of MyEMCert.
